In our IE model, the two propulsion systems can function completely independently. Providing a redundancy level necessary for

open blue water. The diesel engine's alternator is upgraded by Integrel Solutions to allow for 15kW of power to charge the Lithium batteries whenever it is running.

At idle the inboard motor functions as a generator removing the need for that piece of equipment.

While at rest, the solar arrays are large enough to supply the entire house load in all but extreme conditions. Excess power is stored in our large battery bank and can be used later for propulsion.

In practical use, you could spend several days at an island then use

the power you stored to travel an additional 5-30 miles to the next island. Leave the diesel in the tank and travel on green energy.
